Guardians of the Fallen II
Guardians of the Fallen II
A fallen tree lays in an atmospheric snow filled woodland during winter. Magical light shines through the woodland during this unique moment.
The Image
I had previously captured this very atmospheric scene when fog was present throughout the woodland. During a period of heavy snowfall I decided to revisit it feeling that the scene would work very well in the winter conditions. After a tough hike I found the scene and prepared to create a photograph. The wind was strong and it blew heavy snowfall through the woodland and straight towards me. For a few very brief moments I was amazed to see some magical light shine through the woodland as the snow fell. I was genuinely in awe of the nature before me. During this very short window, and four years after creating Guardians of the Fallen in fog, I was delighted to create Guardians of the Fallen II with snow and ethereal light in winter.
