Guardians of the Fallen
Guardians of the Fallen
A fallen tree in an atmospheric foggy woodland.
The Image
This was a scene that I initially found on a day in which the conditions were not ideal but I knew there would be great potential at a different time. The woodland had a special magical feel and I knew I could not capture the scene as I wanted on that first visit, but if I could return on a day with fog then the scene would come alive. An early start one morning saw me back at the scene as the rare and elusive fog filled the woodland. The scene was full of atmosphere and the fog allowed me to capture this photograph just as I wanted. I’m very happy with how the final print faithfully evokes the atmosphere of that special morning. You can watch my video showing the full story behind the capture of this image here.
The image is available print only and does not come mounted or framed.
I use camera equipment which captures quality high resolution images with great detail, unfortunately they cannot be displayed online in their highest quality due to website restrictions. The print you receive does not have these limitations and will show the image at its best.
The Limited Edition Print
The image is produced using a Giclee printing process on high quality fine art Bright White 315gsm paper which has a bright white base and a very gentle texture. This produces an archival quality print which will retain its original colour quality for many years to come.
The print is a limited edition run of 50, it is available on two paper sizes, and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
Paper size A3+. The image size printed on this paper is approximately 44cm x 29cm. This leaves a border around the image providing room to mount and frame it.
Paper size A4. The image size printed on this paper is approximately 26cm x 17cm. This leaves a border around the image providing room to mount and frame it.
The image is printed without the watermark and is hand signed and numbered on the white border at the bottom of the paper. Example limited edition print:
